Recording is the logging of all interactions of the pUser with an application on a flash film. The data volume of the flash films depend on the size, color depth, and interaction amout. The total volume size sums up anywhere from 3.5 to 10 megabytes per hour.
In an individual company’s policy a definition will be made as to which pUser or groups of pUsers and which application usages are to be recorded. A choice can thereby be made between two stages: only output (screen recording) or input and output (screen and keystroke recording).
The choice of the method results from the corporate security requirements. A recorder is therefore needed per application and pUser. Each VX service supports up to 200 recorders. Architecture for several thousand recorders is possible.
The recording is possible in two forms:
- “Hidden” recording, remains unnoticed by the pUser
- Commit Recording must be accepted by the pUser at the beginning of the session.
Experience shows that commit recordings have a positive effect on the quality of work and contribute to the avoidance of fraud. Commit recording can be commented before, during and after the work of the pUser (annotation).
The film will also be automatically supplemented by the system with a footnote that entails time, session ID, user name and used objects.
The recording cannot be disabled by the pUser and can thus not be bypassed by the pUser

The pUser administered in this recording a load balance.
