Visulox Access control includes a two-layered access control:
Access to the Webtop:
In Webtop all applications are listed, which a pUser may use. Before these are visible to the pUser however, the pUser has to conduct a primary registration on OSGD. The pUser then has a username and password, or alternatively, a hardware token. Based on the pUser as well as the group and the remote IP address of the pUser, the following actions are now possible:
- pUser requires a TAP
- Number of pUser in this group is limited
- the pUser may not register from this network
- …
After successful registration, the pUser can now launch an application.
The pUser must have been enabled by the Management Desk, or by an automation system with the help of a CLI interface.
There are three variations:
- Activation on the basis of set profiles (always only on weekdays, 8am-12pm and 2pm-3pm)
- Activation on the basis of a time window (from Monday 10am to Thursday 2pm)
- Activation on the basis of a time window with time budget (from Monday to Thursday maximum 8 hours)
The Access Control system also allows the allocation of a ticket ID, and information on the manager accounts of the respective pUsers. Further, all entries and changes are logged.
